A minimum of five years experience in programming and / or systems analysis is preferred. A sound understanding of data proc-essing systems, programming, and operational procedures as well as a complete and thorough understanding of Peoplesoft is essential. Experi-ence with SunGard SIS+ is desirable. Strong administrative and leadership abilities as well as experience managing technical operations are essential.RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Director of Administrative Systems, the individual reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The individual is responsible for: Management of Administrative Systems Office personnel, which may include evaluation of staff, resolution of staff questions or prob-lems, monitoring work hours including vacation and sick leave, and scheduling appropriate work assignments. Facilitation of project work groups (functional, technical, and vendor) and ensure timely completion of their assigned tasks and deliver-ables. Participate in, provide leadership for the NeSIS project in coordina-tion with WSC functional offices, NATS, NeSIS project manage-ment, other NeSIS campuses and the Computing Services Network office. Serve as a campus representative to the NeSIS change control committee, providing guidance especially in decisions which effect business process, data integrity, regulatory upgrades and applica-tion development within the NeSIS project. Ensure the campus fulfills compliancy/audit documentation re-quests. Review and maintain various batch maintenance reports run on a daily and weekly basis. Establish security policies and procedures for NeSIS in cooperation with NATS and other campuses within the NeSIS PeopleSoft in-stance. Use appropriate computer software tools write and implement pro-grams necessary to provide appropriate reports / data files to Ad-ministrative officials and offices, Information Management Office, Academic Deans, and Department Chairpersons. Maintain and develop interfaces to campus and external systems in cooperation with NATS, including but not limited to: Providing data to provision users in the campus eDirectory system, Library Patron file records, Food Service ID*s, payment processors. Manage office and project budgets. Coordinate support of existing legacy system (SunGard SIS+ on OpenVMS) until it is decommissioned. Manage and maintain software contracts. Monitor license agreements. Other assignments as specified by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.ExpectationsThe Director is expected to: Be fully engaged in all aspects of different day-to-day operations. Work well with a diversity of students, co-workers, administrative, and community members. Provide continual communication to Vice Presidents and other ad-ministers on system changes or upgrades.
