Front Office Supervisor Needed for Radiation Oncology Practice We are searching for an Front Office Supervisor to support our Radiation Oncology offices Port Charlotte and Sarasota, Florida. The Front Office Supervisor will oversee the operation of the Front Desk, chart compliance, insurance denials and providing financial assistance to patients. Ensures effective chart flow through timely processing of patient charts and related documentation. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages workflow of scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks. Meet with patients to explain cost of treatment, insurance coverage, and patient financial responsibility. Coordinate proper insurance verification information/documentation of patient’s insurance, to be used to estimate the patient’s financial responsibility. Develop a standard estimate that includes CPT codes and standard units based on a normal course of treatment for the particular diagnosis, including allowable costs based on MD treatment plan, and script. Responsible for monitoring and collecting the financial balances owed by our patients during their course of treatment. Must verify insurance benefits with patients and update company financial records accordingly. Ensures telephones are answered in timely and courteous manner and patient needs are appropriately addressed by front office staff. Coordinates staffing to ensure adequate coverage for all locations (to include lunch and breaks). Oversees orientation/training including cross training to ensure staff availability/coverage requirements caused by vacations, sickness, peak loads. Collaborates with Administrator in selecting, monitoring and evaluating front office staff. Ensures positive customer service atmosphere and interactions in administrative areas. Investigates customer complaints and ensures timely response where needed. Promotes teamwork through collaboration. Enforces and assures compliance with all Company policies. REQUIREMENTS: A high attention to detail is required, as well as an ability to multi-task. 3+ years experience in a medical office environment required. Office management or supervisory experience preferred. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong sense of customer service.
