COVER LETTER LOCATED ON JOB QUALIFICATION SUMMARY (JQS):
You are required to use the cover letter to write in detail your answers to the "Desired Qualification Questions." The best way to accomplish this task is to answer each question independently and number each answer. In addition, use the cover letter to clearly explain how you meet the Minimum Qualifications. All applications will be screened to ensure that both minimum qualifications are met and that the answers to the Desired Qualification Questions are answered adequately in your cover letter. If your answers are not supported you may not be qualified to advance to the interview and selection phase of the recruitment.
WORK HISTORY:
If using work experience not already documented in your Applicant Profile, provide the employer name, your job title, dates of employment and whether full or part-time. Applicant Profiles and Job Qualification Summaries will be reviewed to determine if the responses are supported and minimum qualifications are clearly met. If they are not, the applicant will not advance to the interview and selection phase of the recruitment.
EDUCATION:
If post-secondary education is required to meet the minimum qualifications, you must fill in the Education and Training section of the Applicant Profile. If you have not obtained a degree, please indicate the number of credit hours earned in the Degree Obtained field. Copies of transcripts will be required at time of interview.

APPLICANTS INVITED TO INTERVIEW SHOULD EXPECT TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:
1) A list of three professional references with current contact information;
2) If using education to meet minimum qualifications, you must provide copies of transcripts;
3) Copies of your last two performance evaluations OR two letters of reference; AND
4) Keyboarding certification that verifies typing speed of 40 wpm or higher. Typing tests are given at any Alaska Job Center location. A list of locations is available at:http://www.jobs.state.ak.us/offices. Appointments are not necessary. Online typing tests are accepted with a valid website address noted on the document.
