These positions should have had responsibility for Title/CIT, AP, AR, posting of service and parts invoices, payroll & benefits administration and vehicle processing. Reynolds & Reynolds experience is preferred, but not required. Working knowledge and experience with Excel is required. The selected candidate will be responsible for their own daily tasks, and must have a strong working knowledge of all positions in the accounting department in order to train, assist and fill-in, when necessary. Experience supervising others is preferred. This position will report directly to the Controller of Kuni Honda. The position requires someone who is self motivated and can work independently with minimal supervision, give and follow direction with strong follow-up skills, be able to prioritize, multitask, work calmly and effectively under pressure, have a strong attention to detail coupled with completing assignments accurately, and have a sense of urgency with a friendly and professional demeanor. The Assistant Office Manager coordinates with the Controller all activities of Company business. This position is also responsible for assigned accounting functions but must be knowledgeable and able to assist managers and other employees when approached. Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to; - Compile and post Journal entries while checking for approval, validity and completeness - Record Standard Entries at month and year-end - Prepare Daily Bank Deposit and Reconcile Daily Bank Statements - Assist Controller with oversight and supervision of office personnel - Oversee and maintain various accounting schedules, as assigned by the Controller - Reconcile various general ledger accounts utilizing sound accounting judgment and thoroughly investigating differences - Prepare spreadsheets in Excel to accomplish various tasks as assigned - Assist Controller with the completion of month end tasks with little to no supervision. - Perform tasks and special projects as assigned by the Controller Interested candidates should email resume, cover letter and references by March 1, 2010.
