Chiropractic Assistant/Technician JOB DUTIES EXPLAINED Our dynamic service minded healing team is seeking to employ a part-time or full-time team member to join our staff. Work duties are exceptional and offer variety along with extensive patient contact. Assistant will be responsible for patient history upon intake, examination, x-ray positioning, and preparation of test results for doctor's interpretation. Further responsibility includes teaching patient's corrective exercise, reviewing nutritional supportive care with patient, and ongoing follow-up with patients. Assistant must also be proficient in phone communication skills and public relations. Assistant will aid other team members in scheduling, insurance processing/posting, and keeping office sanitary. There is an opportunity for the right new team member with the desire and skills to provide community leadership through education to schools, service groups, other health care practitioners, and local businesses. Some experience working with patients in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential to hiring. Training will be provided to learn job skills necessary to deliver superior service and patient care. Ongoing training will also be made available. WORK HOURS Hours are flexible but our patient care hours are specific and we require proper coverage during these times. There are morning and afternoon part-time shifts available and partial week full day shifts available. Saturday morning shifts are also available. BENEFITS Benefits will include no-cost chiropractic care valued at over $10,000 annually (estimate-actual care needs may be more or less), employee discount for vitamins, health supplies sold in practice, and massage therapy provided by licensed staff massage therapists. A retirement plan is also available after qualifying. Insurance benefits are available to full-time employees per our insurance plan policies. Paid vacation is offered after qualifying. SALARY Salary is hourly and depends on experience, qualifications, and ability to increase service and care in our practices. Bonus is available after qualifying. During training of first 180 days, initial salary will be lower and increased after training. Responsible for reporting of pending appointments, completed assignment, and regular transmittal of any fee income to the appropriate concerned parties under the direction of the Program Unit Director. •Acts as liaison between the Program Unit and the office building management, maintenance staff, etc., resolves routine problems and refers non-routine problems appropriately. •Develops procedures for the control, safeguarding, storage, use and availability of office supplies, equipment, and related items for the Program Unit. •Acts as a liaison between Accounting Department and Program Unit in relation to Petty Cash, incoming payments, and funds encounter forms, purchase orders, etc. •Prepares purchase orders and related forms, and maintain Unit files of purchase orders and related forms. •Trains relief receptionists in the functions of the position. •Assumes responsibility for clerical and support components of other Program unit tasks and special projects. •Attends and participates in clerical team meetings and/or related projects.
