The job that I was recently hired to perform was offered a few months ago and I responded but was never contacted.

Wow! I used the summary resume fax and email blast to my area code and a couple of the surrounding area codes in SW Florida, and in one week I had several dozen calls. Averaged about eight calls a day for the first week after the blast! I interviewed for several jobs and actually accepted a position, however it ended after a bit of negotiating.
